Blood Medicine LE 2024

The Blood Medicine Limited Edition 2024, a 6 x 52 toro that uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over an Ecuadorian Connecticut binder and fillers from Nicaragua. This version of Blood Medicine is made at Eradio Pichardo’s TacaNicsa factory. Blood Medicine’ takes its name from a three-story building located on the corner of Broadway and 4th Avenue in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. That building was originally built as a three-floor pharmacy in 1872 before being converted into a hotel in 1892. The hotel operated until the 1980’s, and in 1988 the building would be purchased and re-opened as Merchants Restaurant. Nashville’s music scene would attract some legendary musicians to stay at The Merchants Hotel over the years, including Hank Williams, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Patsy Cline. There are rumors that the building also served as a brothel and a casino over the years

“I am very pleased with the outcome of this blend,” said Nicholas Syris, founder of LH Cigars, in a press release. “It’s all about the cigar, not the band or packaging.” In terms of the blend, the Mexican San Andrés wrapper covers an Ecuadorian binder and fillers from a trio of countries: Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. According to Syris, two of the tobaccos used in the filler—specifically, the ones from Brazil and the Dominican Republic—are ligero leaves, which come from the upper part of a tobacco plant and are generally regarded as being the most flavorful and the strongest leaves on a plant.
